Our History

Cactus Commodities’ CEO and co-founder, Imane REDA, graduated from Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) with a Master’s degree in business in 2009.  After her graduation, she worked for various organizations and led a number of business engagements in a number of countries, including Morocco, Gabon, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea. This early international experience raised her awareness to the need of a new business model  to address the challenges of unemployment, environmental degradation, and social barriers to economic participation.  In 2012, she co-founded Cactus Commodities to put her business model into practice and to participate in the economic and social development of rural areas of Morocco.

In less than 5 years, Cactus Commodities has expanded its local and global footprint, accelerated its investments in more innovative and environmental-friendly technologies and production processes, scaled-up its training and development programs for its workers and sales channels, and significantly increased its CSR activities.
